# Jumper
This rare device from before [[The Migration]] allows for the quick transportation of a person between two points. A Jumper is a set of two devices: a Receiver and a Popper. A Receiver must be on a surface touching [[Malidys]] with and set with a tiny [[Celdonum]] crystal. A Popper uses 1 - 3 tiny [[Celdonum]] crystals and can be thrown at the feet of someone. The distance the person can travel depends on how many crystals are set within the popper.
Although a valuable and favorite amongst thieves, a Jumper is a dangerous tool. When a Popper is thrown, it travels to the nearest Receiver within it's distance, meaning if set off too close to another Receiver you could end up at someone else's Receiver. Due to this, many wealthy individuals pay a large price to have set up Receivers as methods of escape, and often, within a city, several are stationed and protected.

>A Receiver may be set on the ground with a [[Celdonum]] crystal as an Action. It must remain for a full round before it can receive any Poppers.
>
>A Popper may be thrown at your feet as a [[Bonus Action]]. If thrown at someone else, it requires an attack to use. An unwilling target can make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw to prevent be popped. Each [[Celdonum]] crystal set within a Popper allows for the 120 feet of transportation.

>Each time a Popper is used, roll a D20. On a 1, the Popper breaks and must be repaired before it can be used again.

>I used the packing density of 75%, and with a volume of 0.222 inches cubed for the tiny crystal, and the allocation of 6 fitting within the chamber, the approximate volume is 0.509 inches cubed, allowing for a small and two tiny crystals to be used at once. Anything above the threshold of 3 tiny crystals creates an percent chance the Popper explodes when it hits the ground, be a 13% chance at 1, a 23% chance at 2, and a 37% chance at 3. Use of a small crystal starts the chance at 37%, with a 47% with 1 additional tiny crystal, and a 59% chance with 2 additional tiny crystals.
