The fate of *your* character's story rests on your shoulders. Will you bear the weight or buckle under the pressure? ### The Veil [[The Veil]] is a fantasy universe created by Anthony Gordon. With influence from other popular fantasy worlds and universes *(Ex. Stargate, Middle Earth, Cosmere)*, [[The Veil]] is home to copious species of life spread throughout many hundreds of worlds. Some seek prosperity, some seek conquest. Most seek fulfilment, and all have a fate of their own. >[!questions|right]- Who are these "*Cosmic Entities*"? >The reference to cosmic entities involves those who tell stories and create characters within [[The Veil]]. That is to say, you. You are the cosmic entity. You are *a* cosmic entity. See [[Ultari]] for more information. The name, [[The Veil]], is known to most intelligent species throughout. Also called the Divine Veil, The Unperceived, or the Penumbrae, it references the unseen cosmic entities that exist beyond any comprehension, who created everything from the atoms to the stars, and who weave the threads of fate of the universe and worlds. Most stories throughout [[The Veil]] are gritty and harsh, with many horrible encounters resulting in loss and tragedy. However, hope rests in the hands of the [[Ultari]]; Those without fate. ### Worlds Although there are many hundreds of worlds teeming with life throughout [[The Veil]], we will only touch on a couple for now. It is the middle of 3 planets orbiting a white dwarf. The furthest of the three planets is a gas giant the size of a dwarf star, causing the spin of [[Malidys]] to irregularly wobble. >>\ >>[[Malidys]] was seeded with seven original beings, who would eventually become known as [[The Avatars]]. > >>[!world|ttl-c] ###### [[Sylious]] >>The singular planet in its binary star system, [[Sylious]] is home to the [[Kryn]]. Originally seeded by two beings, [[Antellious]] and [[Hellatia]], [[Sylious]] is one of the most technologically advanced planets in [[The Veil]]. It also exists in a wasteland adjacent environment due to deep conflict and an encounter with [[Ul'qireth]].
